Многопоточность VB.net для исправления драйвера устройства

Я пытался закодировать драйвер устройства на основе VB.net для получения данных в протоколе ASTM. Драйвер должен дополнительно обработать данные и отправить их в программное обеспечение на основе базы данных ("биологическое"). Действительно, мне удалось выполнить обе задачи при получении небольшого набора данных. Но при получении огромного количества данных возникает проблема. Программное обеспечение, которое отправляет данные моему драйверу, не получает команду ACK и происходит повторная передача кадров. Я не очень знаком с многопоточностью, но недавно слышал, что это может решить мою проблему, так как она связана с синхронизацией и тайм-аутами. Ниже приведена текущая версия моего кода. Старый пост, я знаю, но на всякий случай, если кто-нибудь столкнется с ним: я бы не предложил многопоточность для решения этой проблемы.

Создайте строковый массив VB и сохраните все полученные кадры вместо вызова HandleBuffer(...) с непредсказуемыми задержками из-за доступа к базе данных.

Я не могу представить, что количество фреймов и данных для этих 9600 бодовых протоколов настолько велико, что их нелегко хранить в строковом массиве VB.NET.

Затем, после закрытия последовательного соединения, переберите массив строк и обновите базу данных.
