Сбой привязки при использовании ресурса SolidColorBrush для свойства Stroke

Question

Я создал UserControl и иметь несколько привязок к нескольким настраиваемым свойствам DependencyProperties в элементе управления. Однако по какой-то причине один из них завершается с ошибкой:

System.Windows.Data Ошибка: 4: не удается найти источник для привязки со ссылкой "ElementName=YearSelectorControl". BindingExpression:Path=SelectedBorderColor; DataItem= NULL; целевым элементом является SolidColorBrush (HashCode=45568629); целевое свойство 'Цвет' (тип 'Цвет')

Элемент управления включает в себя ToggleButton а также Popup, Ошибка возникает, когда Popup открывается нажатием на ToggleButton,

Я отошел от этого на несколько месяцев, чтобы сосредоточиться на более важных элементах своего приложения и, наконец, вернулся к нему. Я нашел решение, хотя я не уверен, почему это была проблема в первую очередь.

По какой-то причине SolidColorBrush ресурс для Stroke собственность не работает. Вместо этого я связал ColorDependencyProperty прямо к Stroke и использовал IValueConverter преобразовать его в SolidColorBrush,
