Почему бы не использовать postgres для всех ваших сред, а не только для development?

Сделайте разделы для test а также production похоже на development в config/database.yml с соответствующими именами базы данных - database: app-test & database: app-prod` соответственно.

В качестве альтернативы, если вы хотите использовать sqlite3 для определенных условий включите sqlite3 самоцвет для этой среды, и pg драгоценный камень для других сред.

Пример конфигурации Gemfile:

Конфигурация ниже будет включать pg драгоценный камень только для production, а также sqlite3 драгоценный камень только для development & test среда.
