Основной причиной этой проблемы является попытка обновить пользовательский интерфейс при блокировке из потока диспетчеризации событий (EDT).

Важно НИКОГДА не выполнять никаких длительных или блокирующих операций в EDT, так как это предотвратит обработку запросов на перерисовку.
