MVC4: UserIsInRole - невозможно подключиться к базе данных SQL Server

Таблицы БД выглядят хорошо, пользователи и роли существуют и остаются такими же, как и раньше.

Добавление этого:
[InitializeSimpleMembership]
К началу HomeController устраняет проблему.
Пояснение к атрибуту:
Для моего случая использования добавление следующей строки в файле web.config исправило это!
