Emacs зависает при просмотре PDF

Question

Когда я просматриваю pdf в emacs в версии по умолчанию (emacs -Q), doc-view работает отлично. Но в настраиваемой версии моего emacs открытие даже самого маленького из PDF-файлов приводит к зависанию emacs. Какова может быть возможная причина этого?

РЕДАКТИРОВАТЬ: я использовал разделение пополам и обнаружил, что режим Linum создает проблемы. Как только я откладываю это, документы открываются правильно без каких-либо задержек. Есть ли способ отключить режим Linum для режима просмотра документов?

Ответ на вопрос "Что в моем файле инициализации вызывает проблемы?" Прост: рекурсивно делите пополам ваш файл инициализации, пока не найдете виновного.

Людей можно легко ввести в заблуждение, думая, что это неэффективно или глупо. Это ни то, ни другое. Да, это слепой. Но действовать предвкушением часто хуже, чем действовать вслепую: неправильные представления, плохие предположения.

Если вам нужно напомнить себе о силе бинарного поиска (вот что это такое), вспомните историю мудреца, который попросил заплатить зерном риса на первом квадрате шахматной доски, удвоить это на втором квадрате, удвоить что на третьем квадрате... Это не займет много времени, чтобы сузить ваш файл инициализации до оскорбительного выражения.

Чтобы разделить его, вы можете сделать одно из следующего:

• Прокомментируйте раздел (1/2, затем 3/4, затем 7/8,...): M-x comment-region твой друг. И с C-u это раскомментирует

• M-x eval-region

Просто попробуйте. Это займет меньше времени, чем вы думаете.
